Mission

To be a leading institution for providing solutions for Biodiversity loss in and around protected areas in Uganda.

Objectives

  • To engage people in activities geared towards undertaking and revenue sharing in communities living alongside wildlife.
  • To advocate for protection of forest cover, conservation of water resources and wetlands, tourism, and agro forestry.
  • To advocate for rural development through preservation of wildlife in communities around Queen Elizabeth National Park.
  • To provide open space, recreational tourism, and cultural heritage opportunities in the wildlife affected areas of the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park
  • To support the social needs of the rapidly increasingly human  population.
  • To train specific groups of people in the use of new information technology to communicate and access ideas, which are relevant in the progressive, realization of the rights of wildlife.
  • To mobilize resources for community empowerment through sustainable livelihood programs for better services in and around the Ishasha community.
